Conservation
More Than a Logo—A Story of Protection & Preservation

The Salmon Parks initiative is more than conservation; it’s about honouring the land, protecting its future, and preserving the deep connections between people, nature, and culture.

When the Mowachaht Muchalaht Nation partnered with Y5 Creative, the brand and website needed to reflect the heart of their mission, safeguarding the environment while empowering future generations.

Through a collaborative branding workshop with 15 representatives from across the Nation, we uncovered the core values that define Salmon Parks—respect, unity, curiosity, and responsibility. This project was built on the principle that everything is connected, Hishukish tsa’walk, and that protecting the salmon ecosystem means protecting culture, biodiversity, and a way of life.

Salmon Parks isn’t just about saving salmon; it’s about stewarding the land, revitalizing Indigenous leadership, and creating a sustainable future for all. This is a movement, a promise, and a responsibility.

The result? A powerful brand and digital presence that tells Salmon Parks’ story with clarity, emotion, and purpose. From the visual identity to the future website experience (in development), every element reflects its commitment to sustainability, conservation, and restoring balance to the land, rivers, and forests.
